News from your Hotels & Transportation Committee

CDG

We are pleased to announce a new location for our hotel in Paris as of April 1, 2023. The crew hotel will be Le Méridien étoile. Your committee has been working hard for this change since the relocations last summer. The benefits of this new hotel are multiple: 27 minutes by transport from CDG, renovated and modern rooms, functional air conditioning and heating. Rooftop terrace for a view of Paris, close to many services, metro, grocery stores, stores, restaurants and parks. We hope you will enjoy this change.

The contract with Le Méridien will go beyond the period of the Olympics in Paris, for a period of 6 weeks during the summer of 2024. Your union as well as the pilot’s union have reached an agreement stating that during the l’Olympics, the crews will be staying at the resid’home CDG. Breakfast will be included as well as a return train ticket per 24 hours. It was imperative for us to find a solution considering the number of complaints on the Paris hotel. In return, the hotel could not accommodate us during the Olympic period.

LGW

A visit is taking place this week. We have expanded the area in order to visit quality hotels closer to London. More details will follow after the visit.

BCN

As published in our last communication, we need to find a new hotel in Barcelona. Visits are taking place as we speak. Just like for London, more details will be given in the next few weeks.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Keep filling out crewcare reports, these are very useful to us when we review the files.

If you have a non-compliant transport, for example a mini-van instead of a bus, this may be an occupational health and safety issue. In addition to completing a crewcare, please fill out a Coruson HS report! This way, your HS committee will be able to work in conjunction with the hotel committee and correct the situation more efficiently.

Sincerely,

Your Hotels & Transportation Committee team
