{"id":1188,"date":"2023-04-28T10:40:38","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T14:40:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atcomponent.com\/?p=1188"},"modified":"2023-04-28T11:49:37","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T15:49:37","slug":"news-form-your-service-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atcomponent.com\/en\/2023\/04\/28\/news-form-your-service-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"News form your Service Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello,<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who took the time to write to the Service Committee with regard to the service changes Air Transat is implementing effective this coming Monday, May 1, 2023.\u00a0 Your input is of great value.<\/p>\n<p>Please be aware of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Miguel Teixeira, Fernando Moreira and Frederic Nappert of Inflight Service and Customer Experience presented these changes to Dominic Levasseur and myself on April 14, 2023, rather than the 30 days prior to the change to our duties required by Article 27.02.11 of our collective agreement<\/li>\n<li>The aim of the service review and a number of its aspects are appreciated.\u00a0 However, at that time, I advised that among other points, we were not in agreement with offering coffee\/tea during pick-up, that not offering a mid-flight bar on flights inbound from Europe &#8212; especially those of a duration greater than 7:30 &#8212; would be problematic and that your union&#8217;s position concerning flights to the South\/USA on the A321LR remained unchanged, as it is in contravention of our LOU<\/li>\n<li>On the same date, I inquired why a service flow change for A321LR flights to the South\/USA &#8212; to a service flow which was never tested &#8212; was implemented on March 1, 2023, only two months before another service flow change &#8212; to a service flow which was, in good faith, tested at Air Transat&#8217;s request but did not work &#8212; is scheduled<\/li>\n<li>After consultation with the Service Committee as a whole, its position on these three items was reiterated to Air Transat, including the fact that offering coffee\/tea during pick-up was a poor process previously, when the whole TSU was put back in the trolley.\u00a0 With the lean-on-me TSUs, the pick-up requires both sides of the trolley to have a garbage bag and space for TSUs, rather than only one side.\u00a0 Also, the top of the trolley needs a drawer for glasses, casserole dishes and other items, as well as space on each side for the TSUs to be handled and stacked.\u00a0 Even if only one of the\u00a0two crew members were\u00a0picking up &#8212; which is entirely impractical and presents an unhygienic image &#8212; there would not be space for another drawer for coffee\/tea and supplies.\u00a0 And, the pick-up is slowed, too &#8212; neither efficient nor simple, as is the aim of these changes.<\/li>\n<li>To date, no response has been received<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please continue to address your concerns to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:service@atcomponent.com\">service@atcomponent.com<\/a>\u00a0&#8212; as well as to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:comex@airtransat.com\">comex@airtransat.com<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:fernando.moreira@transat.com\">fernando.moreira@transat.com<\/a>, as indicated in the Service and Products Update May 1, 2023 document.\u00a0 Please do not hesitate to copy\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:service@atcomponent.com\">service@atcomponent.com<\/a>\u00a0on any communication with Air Transat, including their reply.<\/p>\n<p>As we move forward, I will provide updates as they become available.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, again,<\/p>\n<p>Sandrine<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chair :<\/strong> Sandrine La Via<\/p>\n<p><strong>Component link:<\/strong>\u00a0Dominic Levasseur\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:president@atcomponent.com\">president@atcomponent.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>YUL :<\/strong> 1- Sonia Pereira 2- Nathalie Poliquin<\/p>\n<p><strong>YYZ :<\/strong>\u00a01- Marcus Dearn 2- Tracey King-Tomlinson 3-Julie Macleod<\/p>\n<p><strong>YVR :<\/strong>\u00a01- Leanne Poon 2-Linnea Chaves<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, Thank you to everyone who took the time to write to the Service Committee with regard to the service changes Air Transat is implementing effective this coming Monday, May 1, 2023.\u00a0 Your input is of great value.
