LOUs

Letters of Understanding are agreements that are signed between the Company and the Union to settle Collective Agreement and workplace issues in between bargaining years. Often these agreements arise out of the fact that many grievances have been lodged on a certain issue and an immediate global solution is needed to resolve the situation. In the next round of bargaining (2010) these LOU’s will be integrated into the Collective Agreement.

In the meantime we encourage you to print them out and keep them with you, as they are an integral part of our current agreement with the Company and are enforced from the date of signing.
